Spiritual Care
As part of our spiritual care outreach, we provide daily devotionals we call “raindrops of Jesus,” each day to hundreds. The Chaplain puts out Tiny Devotionals each morning via text to each resident participating in our food programs and others. These devotionals have been well received.

Adults in the U.S. experience mental illness
Alcohol abuse, alcoholism and alcohol use disorder (AUD) kill over 3 million people each year.
Some of the residents are struggling with depression, alcohol, drugs, and regret from their past choices. The Chaplain goes onsite to meet the needs of the residents spiritually. This includes one-on-one care, daily devotionals, and simple one-page faith-based handouts.
A Few of Our Tiny Devotionals
Today’s Tiny Devotional
Do you how important it is to be an encourager? Go through life being the one who people enjoy seeing coming through the door! Encourage others, raise up the spirits of your friends, family and certainly strangers. Everyone needs a “pick me up” now and then. Be that person. Christians are not an unhappy lot. Jesus brought light to the world and a cheerful, loving presence.
Key Verse…
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT

Today’s Tiny Devotional
He’s already got it figured out. You just have to let it all come to pass. You do that by praying. Don’t step in and say to yourself, “I’ll take care of this for you God.” . I can assure you your selfish decisions will only create a bigger mess. I use to be so self-centered. Always stepping in and making decisions for myself without the benefit of God. I wanted certain outcomes so I made it so. If I had just waited and been more patient, the issues would have all worked out in God’s timing and with the best result for me. I eloped in one of my marriages and the marriage only lasted 11 months. Ugh. Wisdom comes through prayer and patience. Trust Jesus. Please pray daily for wisdom on your decisions.
Key Verse…
Are you immature? Learn to be mature. Are you foolish? Learn to have sense.
Proverbs 8:5 GNT
Today’s Tiny Devotional
No matter how tough you think you are, it is impossible to go through life without getting cut or wounded along the way. It’s important to tend to the scrapes and bruises when they occur – this way nothing festers or the wound grows over time. “Just like children, emotions heal when they are HEARD and validated.” ~Jill Bolte Taylor. God can restore what is broken and change it into something amazing. All you need is faith. I’ve certainly been broken, hurt badly, and allowed the wounds to fester, for decades. Ugh. But, I have also been restored through the grace and love of Jesus Christ! Stop looking to the world or false companionship for healing and realize Jesus is all that is needed. Please don’t keep holding in your pain. Let it go and grow your garden. Once you’ve healed, your garden will be full of butterflies.
Key Verse…
God heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
Psalm 147:3 CEB
Today’s Tiny Devotional
Please don’t beat yourself up so much. You are doing the best you can. God knows all that you have been through. Be nice if you would talk to Him about it, in DEPTH. Did you know Jesus prayed all the time! This was Jesus, the big cheese, the son of God, the Savior for us all, and he prayed a ton. Don’t DISCOUNT the power of prayer. It can give you clarity, provide peace, and help you find the answers.
Key Verse…
One day Jesus went up on a mountain to pray. He prayed all night to God.
Luke 6:12 NLV
